[ Knock knock on BARiTONES door, perhaps a little awkward because normally he would bring a gift for the host but he has negative ideas on what would be appropriate in this setting or for the recipient. ]
[ BETTER NOTHING THAN RISK SETTING HIM OFF!! And just as he said, he's waiting for him, so he lets him inside shortly after he knocks, leading him to the living room area where he already prepared their cups ]
There you are. You look the same as you did when you left.
[ he immediately wants to shoot back that it's not a peace offering, but it is, and denying it won't really do him any favors. So he's quiet for a moment, crossing his arms at his chest as he looks at Zhongli ]
... Tartaglia was heartbroken when you left. Not just because you weren't here, but because he wasn't sure he'd find the same version of you waiting for him home. Even telling him we could just travel to all versions of Teyvat until we found you wasn't enough to console him.
It was really annoying. I enjoyed being his sole focus for a little while but I understand that's not what he wants. Things would go a lot better if I didn't hate you, and you're not her. So I could at least give you a chance.
Oh that gives him quite the pause. Add that to the list of things he never thought about because he never once considered the Tartaglia here to not be his. ]
Before we go any further, I wish to thank you for thinking of his happiness even before your own. Such admissions can be difficult to ourselves and even moreso in front of others.
And for that, I will ask what do you wish of me to prove that I am deserving of such a chance.
I don't know. You've always been wise enough not to step out of line. You haven't tried to push Tartaglia away from me even though you could have. ... and you did give me some decent advice in that dream.
Maybe I should focus on getting to know you, instead. The tea, for example. You are good at preparing it, no?

Glaze Lily: If it is not an inconvenience, I can be there within ten minutes.

But I didn't call you here for snide remarks and mean comments, even if I love them so much. I even prepared tea for you.
[ and he did! but he burned the black leaves and it tastes bitter and terrible. Did he test taste it? Of course he didn't. ]
Cookies were not an option.

It can't possibly be that bad.

Re: Day 485
But your peace offering is accepted for its intentions. Something must be weighing heavily on your mind.

Re: Day 485
You're not a human, and you're no longer an Archon. That already plays in your favor.
