[ Zhongli leads Childe into the restaurant, pulling out the chair for him before he sits. He gently pushes it in once Childe is settled before taking his own chair. And then proceeds to---

He peers over the menu at Childe as he's making his final selections. ]
Is there anything you wish for me to refrain from ordering?
[ he takes a seat and picks up a menu even though zhongli is going to be taking care of all of it. he reads it over, listening as zhongli orders about half of it, ...smiling all the while. he sets it down and looks across at him, giving a shake of his head. ] No, I'll try anything at least once, and all of this sounds delicious, besides.
[ The meal begins with sticky rice and small plates of dumplings as well as a seafood dish that Zhongli not so discreetly slides to Childe's side of the table. A bottle of white wine is poured into two narrow crystal-like glasses - out of theme with the rest of the restaurant as is the wine itself.
He hands Childe his serving of a bowl of rice, refraining from the urge to pile it high with toppings. ]
I made sure to. I know how liberal you are when ordering things off of a menu. [ he's honestly surprised at his restraint. why not one of everything! like usual. but he's glad, honestly, since he should be able to clean this plate and every other plate given to him this evening. ]
Watch this! [ he takes the bowl and picks up the chopsticks laid out to his side, but instead of helping himself to a serving of the rice he, instead, goes for a dumpling - managing to grab it... not so expertly, but despite all the trembling the sticks do he gets the morsel to his mouth. ]
[ IT TASTES SO MUCH BETTER AFTER A mild SUCCESS. ] Did you see that, Xiansheng! I nailed it. [ "nailed". ]
[ As he elegantly picks up a dumpling of his own to eat, not even bothering to hide his proud smile. ]
Though I suppose it was my oversight that I was not providing proper motivation for you. Was enjoying Liyue gastronomy to its fullest not enough persuasion for you?
[ he grabs a glob of sticky rice and starts eating that after. he's definitely got a much better handle on the chopsticks... for now. ] You haf gifin me plenty of motifation, Xiansheng.
