Zhongli is an orphan who was raised by his aunties who he loves dearly. He worked various customer and office assistant jobs and lived a generally trauma-free life until his best friend was convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Since then, he has taken a hard turn to study to become a lawyer (specifically a public defender) and works part time at the local coffee shop to keep his student loans manageable. It was during this time he was picked up by the Holy Order.
His two major personality differences from canon will be that he's extremely frugal with money and he will act age-appropriate-ish (he will still be weird).
